I originally recorded "Prelude Outer Space Approaching Earth" for an upcoming compilation for SOMETHING WEIRD VIDEO, who are the greatest! Lisa, the owner, liked it and initially was interested since the piece has been used many many times as generic sci-fi or monster movie background music or in ads. Neither of us had an idea where the piece originated. Once I figured out, though, that it was actually from the classic sci-fi movie THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL and there could be licensing issues, we decided I should just do something else for the comp and I could release it on my next thing. In the meantime, THANK YOU to Lisa for inspiring me to do the cover and permission to make samples of the classic SWV, "Monsters Crash The Pajama Party Spook Show Spectacular".
